Art of Pooh

This is one of three submissions I came up with for an upcoming book Disney Publishing is doing. I painted this in Painter IX and then played with the colors a bit in Photoshop.

Logo job

These are some logo's for a boring Division of Countrywide Mortgage where my sister works. Logo's aren't my forte', but If any of these are chosen, she'll get......are you ready?........a $25 gift certificate!
I'll get the undying love of my sibling......

I've been busy this week so I thought I'd go into the archives for this one. If that is counter to blog etiquette...let me know.
This is an oil painting done almost entirely with a palette knife. It's from a photo I took in Maui, but I did deviate pretty far from the original. It was fun to work with the knife and really forced me to be loose and generous with the paint.

Celebrity Lust

I just thought I'd try my hand at a caricature. To me there are very few things on this earth as utterly unworthy of news coverage as celebrity couplings. I think most of these people should be prohibited by law from reproducing.....apparently for Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise it's too late.
This was done in Illustrator. You might see the Kirtsen Ulve influence.

Bloo Note Album Cover

In my continuing effort to prove that I am able to Illustrate in different styles....I did this in Photoshop.

Toy Monkey

This is a pastel painting I did over the holidays. I have this antique toy monkey which I was dying to paint for some time. I 'm not sure what intrigues me about it, but I think it's the juxtaposition between the fact that it was made as a toy but it is undeniably creepy at the same time.
