The Disney Store in Times Square, New York recently remodeled their first floor and wanted a display that featured Mickey and Minnie that looked like Macy's Parade balloons so they contacted me & asked me to come up with the visual concept. Normally, it's unacceptable to design characters that are symmetrical like this but I was going for that old school parade balloon look and dynamic posing would be antithetical to that genre. I consulted on the sculpting but was never able to see the final painted pieces in person.
